leopard cat.
Leopard cats occupy a wide range and show considerable geographic variation. Although globally assessed at lower risk, local populations face habitat loss, hunting and road mortality.

Roughly domestic-cat sized, with a small head, long legs and a spotted coat crossed by dark facial and neck stripes.

Usually solitary and nocturnal, with strong climbing ability and flexible habitat use.

Mainly small mammals, with birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects also taken.

Forest, scrub, grassland and some plantations or agricultural edges with cover.
